Happening Now At the F

August 2018 - It's just about time for breeding  season.  All ewes are bred for Jan - Mar lambing to meet the WV Fairs  and Festivals requirements.  This year there will be 36 ewes bred by our  2018-2019 sires:  Lug Nut and 4-D-3.  One more vaccination will be  given prior to breeding season.  All soundness exams are complete and  flushing is in process.  We can't wait to see what the lambing season  brings as this year we hope to have several "keeper" ewes.

Surprisingly  our girls have decided not to show lambs next year for the 4H and FFA  projects and will be raising a hog and steer instead.  As such, we are  prepping for those additions as well.  You're only a kid once, so why  not try to show them all, right?  At least that is what we are trying to  tell ourselves.

We are also offering George, our  starter ram, For Sale.  He has done a great job for us and we hate to  see him go as he was Granny's pride and joy.  However, we have several  of his daughters and grand-daughters and is time to change the  genetics.
